Cost Concepts

Cutting back on overheads requires better Cost Concepts

Everybody wants to save money in these economically trying times – however, most companies tend to only focus on the large costs associated with the business, rather than grasping the broader picture. Rozlyn Ahier launched Cost Concepts to demonstrate that reducing the little things can also deliver big savings in the end.

Since most medium sized companies seeking to reduce overheads look immediately at their core expenses, rather than the indirect ones, Roz found a gap in the market. By undertaking a thorough analysis that starts at the income statement and works its way down to the actual source documents, she can deliver enormous cost savings.

She says that because companies often do not realise the significance of their indirect expenses, she is able to fill in this ‘information asymmetry’. Her company provides clients with complete information on how best to reduce these indirect expenses, assisting them in culling costs and becoming more efficient in terms of their overheads. So far there has not been a single client company where she has not delivered significant savings.

Roz is looking to move to the next level through a contract with a large company (turnover of R350 million plus) that will challenge her to analyse and reduce their indirect costs. The deal needs a three month lead time to allow Roz to capacitate her business

She also needs business growth mentorship to formalise her operating processes from lead generation through to her people policy.
