CX Pallets
CX Environmentally-Friendly Pallets – From Garage to Global
As every successful businessperson from Microsoft’s Bill Gates to our very own erstwhile afronaught, Mark Shuttleworth, will tell you – some of world’s most amazing companies have started off in their founder’s humble garage.
This has certainly been the experience of Jan Vreken who started his company, CX Pallets, from his own 20 m2 garage. Four years ago, by offering an environmentally-friendly cardboard pallet solution, he was able to move the company into an impressive 500m2 warehouse. Just a few months ago, CX Pallets was able to start a modest operation in the friendly city of Port Elizabeth. The next step will be to set up shop in the Western Cape.
His cardboard pallets are the solution for the future as they are fully recyclable, lightweight and durable and, unlike wooden pallets, do not require fumigation. There is tremendous growth potential for this business as the trend to reject wooden pallets due to environmental concerns and quarantine regulations is likely to increase globally.
To realise this growth, Jan requires a mentor to offer him advice with regards to the marketing and sales strategy of the business. He also needs to reach clients who see the value and need for lightweight, sterile and durable cardboard pallets.
