Diagnostic Testers
Tackling substance abuse at its root
Addiction of any kind is no laughing matter, and it is crucial that help be offered as soon as possible to those suffering from what Imelda Neate, of Diagnostic Testers, says is a terrible disease. Her company, therefore, supplies on-site diagnostic screen test devices, as well as a four-part substance abuse programme, which can be included in a workplace or school/university environment.
Having personal experience with addiction in the family, Imelda says that her company was created to provide a service covering legal aspects, on-site testing, equipment supply and assistance programmes to those that may need it. She also offers a screen testing officer course that covers the correct processes and procedures around substance abuse, as well as the legalities, practicalities and pharmacology.
By targeting businesses, she hopes to get the message of the dangers of substance abuse out to as many people and households as possible. She says that there is enormous potential for her offering if she can obtain the correct help and support.
The kind of support necessary includes assistance with segmenting customers, understanding their needs and creating a value proposition to offer them. Imelda would also like financial assistance in offering training workshops to enable out-of-work nurses to become Screen Testing Officers.  Additionally, she would like funding for a testing station on wheels and for schools’ run substance abuse programmes, not to mention more basic media exposure.
