Lorraine Young launched the business in 1990, creating designer leisurewear for her customers. A former aerobics instructor, Lorraine used to make her own leotards. She also has a deep understanding of what good fashion sense is – after all, she was involved in aerobics in the late 80s and early 90s, when people didn’t make fashion faux pas, fashion as a whole WAS a faux pas!
It Figures offers a unique service, customising swimsuits or bikinis for individuals, to ensure a perfect fit. Offering a large range of styles and fabric, it is specifically designed to cater for all body shapes and sizes. Lorraine’s speciality lies in building a close relationship with her customers, by truly listening to their needs and understanding the personal nature and psychology of the product.
However, she requires assistance with an advertising and marketing strategy to broaden her sales and distribution platform. Also, introductions to similar boutiques offering personalised clothing could prove mutually beneficial. Finally she requires contact with reps who are already servicing suitable retailers.
