Driven by his passion and belief in Enterprise Development, Jackie leads Aurik Enterprises providing Enterprise Development services to businesses and the public sector.
Jackie’s ability to design Enterprise Development within the BEE codes as a commercial opportunity comes from his having built and led profitable, sustainable transformation strategies for SA corporates. This capability draws on his direct experience where, as Edcon’s Group Executive, Transformation and Corporate Affairs, he developed policy and strategy, leading implementation for the groups broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) or transformation; sustainability and environmental management services; corporate responsibility / corporate citizenship / corporate social investment; preferential procurement; and enterprise development.
Prior to Edcon, as an executive at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited, he occupied various portfolios and specifically led the conversion of old order mining licenses into the new order mining rights. This included the execution of the local economic development programme in terms of the Mining Charter, working with four provincial governments and 17 municipalities in South Africa and three Southern African countries, namely, Lesotho, Mozambique, and Swaziland.  Prior to joining Harmony, Jackie held various managerial positions responsible for transformation and enterprise development in the financial services, steel and industrial private sector as well as a brief stint in public service.
Jackie holds a Master of Management, Human Resources – MM, HR (University of the Witwatersrand); Master of Business Administration – MBA (University of Pretoria); B Admin, Honours (University of South Africa); B Admin (University of Limpopo); Diploma in Labour Law (GIMT).
