LucidView
Eliminating Internet misuse requires a LucidView
Everybody knows that when the boss is not looking, there’s a good chance the employees are downloading music, movies or even worse X-rated stuff. Of course, it is hard to misuse the company Internet if it is using LucidView.
Johan Smook founded LucidView in Wierda Park, Centurion in 2005, based on his own experiences as the director of operations for a major IT company. The product is designed to do all those wonderful things one would expect of tool that promises what it does – namely optimising the network, improving productivity and eliminating Internet misuse. While this means that John Doe can longer look at dirty pictures at work, it does mean he gets a fully integrated all-in-one solution that is better than most of its international competitors.
Combining the technological brain of its ‘propellerhead’ MD, Andrew Wilson, with the sanity and vast business experience of a couple of older ‘Ooms’ – Johan and Louis Laurie – the company remains extremely passionate about what it does and always has fun in the high-tech space.
Of course, increased and regular advertising directed at the appropriate channels would no doubt boost brand awareness and take them to the next level, while an expanded PR campaign encompassing current and prospective new channel partners would not hurt.
In future, Johan aims to establish channel partners in various geographies globally, so he’d also like help in getting to local and international technology shows, in order to exhibit his innovative product.
