Mosaics – an art form that has stood the test of time
Everyone should have a hobby – something to help you find a relaxing escape from the pressures of the modern world. And if you want to leave the modern world behind, choosing a hobby that takes you back to the times of the ancient Romans and Greeks could be just the way to go.
This was the thought Jacqui Charles had when she formed her company, Mosaic Works. An importer of mosaic tiles and a provider of workshops for creative enthusiasts, Jacqui points out that not only is mosaic-making fun, it is an art form that has stood the test of time, with archaeologists having uncovered mosaics thousands of years old.
While your creations may not last for that length of time, Mosaic Works’ one-on-one customer service and the company’s unique range of products – designed for beginners and experts alike – means you can have fun creating decorative and functional items, while tapping into sources of creativity you didn’t know you had.
Of course, the concept of mosaics is wonderful, but Jacqui says she really needs assistance with creating campaigns to ignite consumer interest. She would also appreciate help in putting systems in place around stock control, productivity, forecasting and database management. This will help her to achieve her dream of opening a retail store in Gauteng and extending the brand internationally.
