Partnerships

Aurik believes that entrepreneurship and enterprise creation is a viable, exciting, financially rewarding and satisfying career option. Furthermore, Aurik believes that the energy and creativity inherent in successful entrepreneurship is a critical component to social and economic development. To this end, Aurik directly supports initiatives and organisations that contribute to entrepreneurship as its enterprise development and corporate social investment initiatives.

Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE)

SIFE is a global, non-profit organisation, Headquartered in Springfield, Missouri (USA), governed by more than 200 of the nations leading corporate executives that create global partnerships between business and higher education that prepares university students to make a meaningful contribution toward a better world as entrepreneurs and business leaders, by challenging them to address real world business and economic issues in their communities.

The SIFE Africa Initiative celebrates its 8th anniversary in 2009 having reached its full market share, with 27 higher education institution teams now registered as SIFE SA participants, with a continual but steady growth in team membership.

Aurik supports SIFE through allocating time, skill, relationships and experience to contribute to the SIFE SA board on an ongoing basis.

Start Up South Africa (SUSA)

SUSA is a national campaign managed by Aurik focused on promoting and supporting entrepreneurial development at a grassroots level.

The campaign has been specifically designed to encourage, support and develop entrepreneurship on a mass scale. The design of the campaign content is directly linked to extensive global and local research on the topic of entrepreneurship, the South African challenge in developing more entrepreneurs and the way people think and learn.

SUSA has provides large scale project management experience, proven promotional strategies, a regional and national reach and its activities secure funders their B-BBEE Corporate Socio-economic Investment points.

SUSA goes further in providing the most essential step in entrepreneurship development, experiential training. All training materials are designed to engage potential entrepreneurs on a level that will achieve impact and each campaign is monitored and evaluated and the results are used to constantly improve effectiveness of the material and delivery methodology.

SAVCA

Aurik is a member of SAVCA, a self-regulating industry body that seeks to promote the venture capital and private equity profession in Southern Africa, represent the profession at the national and international level, develop and stimulate professional and transactional venture capital and private equity investments throughout Southern Africa and maintain ethical and professional standards in venture capital investing and lobbying.

COMENSA

Aurik is a registered member of COMENSA, an organisation to support professional practice and a learning culture in coaching and mentoring through standards and ethics.
