Ripple Effect 4

Giving online learning some real teeth!

When Rudyard Kipling stated that ‘never the twain shall meet’, he could easily have been talking about the subjects of wildlife and computers. Todd Kaplan, however, decided to prove the statement wrong when he founded Ripple Effect 4 in 1999. The company’s Website, www.wildlifecampus.com is a specialist provider of distance learning courses.

Offering 30 different courses, 25 of which are not available through any other provider, the Wildlife Campus is an accredited trainer of the Field Guiding Association of South Africa.

Todd combined his two passions – love of the bush and love of computers – in coming up with this concept, which was financed by Africam.com. Africam’s online visitors also provided the initial customer base. It is a huge source of pride to him that many of his former students are now gainfully employed in the wildlife, lodge and guiding industry.

Thanks to a perfect combination of price, convenience, ease of study, academic support, credibility, accreditation, endorsement and course comprehensiveness, Todd says they have gone from strength to strength. The online course delivery means large numbers of active students can be facilitated. Any student – irrespective of past academic achievement – is welcome.

Of course, since most people still think as Kipling did, Todd says he would welcome any and all assistance offered that could help increase awareness of the company and its offerings…

In other words, advertising, advertising and more advertising!
