Rutec

Brought in by the majority shareholder, we worked with Kate Philip and the management team of Rutec to develop and implement a turnaround strategy for the ailing entity.

The non-core administrative and operational back-office components were restructured and the resultant information was used to support the selection of one of three new market positions for the business. As a result, operating costs fell by more than 50% and sales growth escalated by over 20% in the first year. Monthly losses of R305k were converted to monthly profits of R800k within 2 years – quite a turnaround!
