Safely getting children to school and back.
School Link offers a welcome and safe alternative to traditional public transport for school children. Launched in Chartwell, Johannesburg, by Valeria Graunke six years ago, the service had humble beginnings, as most great ideas do.
Valeria initially only catered for 15 future CEOs, doctors and lawyers at the nursery school where she worked, after there was no space for them on the school’s bus.
As a self-financed, home-based operation, Valeria had to scrounge and scrape to find the seed money for her brilliant idea. Today, School Link is a franchise transporting over 500 children daily.
It is clear that the business has enormous growth potential with excellent prospects outside Jo’burg’s northern suburbs for new franchisees.
While there is much competition in this market segment, School Link succeeds where many fail simply by adhering to the basic principles of delivering a safe and reliable service, thanks to quality vehicles, experienced drivers and qualified onboard assistants. Today, the company has a recognisable brand with 16 buses on the road.
