Wilson’s Foods: the slick name in bulk edible oils

When Stephen Wilson launched Wilson’s Foods in 1998, he was selling bottles of oil from the boot of his car. However, unlike your average snake oil salesman, he was remarkably successful due to his ability to source good oil at great prices and his willingness to embrace technology early on.

Stephen furthermore says that his company’s success is built on receiving edible oils in bulk and then breaking, blending and bottling them.

Stocking some 20 different oils – including extra virgin olive oil, canola oil, and sunflower oil – he supplies food manufacturers, catering wholesalers and retail wholesalers.

Wilson’s Foods has pioneered both the concept of bulk edible oils and a unique blend of olive and seed oils. Other products have included pure unsweetened lime juice and a vegan-suitable, oil-based butter substitute.

Of course, he could still use assistance to take the business to the next level. He particularly requires introductions to the major supermarket chains – preferably via wholesalers or the agents who service the chains. Also, help in identifying innovative new products in the food industry, as well as in driving the existing brand further through advertising and marketing.
